Stop pinning ‘Dream Homes’ – start planning the one you actually live in with a Design Consultation

Pinterest is addictive, isn’t it? One minute you’re searching for “Dopamine Decor”, and the next you’ve fallen into a rabbit hole of rustic barn conversions in the Cotswolds, chic Parisian apartments, and glossy kitchen islands the size of your entire downstairs.

It’s fun. It’s inspiring. But here’s the truth that most people only realise halfway through their renovation: pinning dream homes doesn’t get you any closer to living in one.

In fact, it often does the opposite.

Instead of clarity, you’re left with a jumble of screenshots, saved reels, and magazine cut-outs that don’t seem to fit together. What looks perfect in one house suddenly feels awkward in yours. That gorgeous sage green kitchen? Too dark in your north-facing space. The bold patterned tiles? Clashing with the rest of your hallway.

And that’s where the frustration begins.

Inspiration isn’t a Plan design consultation

Here’s the thing: your home isn’t a showroom or a photo set. It’s where you live your actual life. And the spaces you see online? They were designed for someone else’s architecture, someone else’s lifestyle, someone else’s story.

That doesn’t mean they’re useless. Far from it — inspiration is powerful. But without a clear, tailored plan, you’re essentially trying to puzzle together pieces from ten different boxes and hoping they’ll make one picture. Spoiler: they won’t.

Why most renovations miss the mark

So many homeowners throw themselves into renovations with endless enthusiasm but no real roadmap. And what happens?

  • Rooms feel “almost right” but not quite.

  • Money is wasted on re-doing decisions.

  • The whole house feels like a collection of separate ideas rather than a flowing, cohesive home.

It’s not because you don’t have taste (you do). It’s because taste without vision is chaos.

And that’s where I come in.

The Designer difference

When you work with me, I’m not just picking paint colours or telling you where to put the sofa. I’m helping you create a home that works beautifully for you — one that feels effortless, flows from room to room, and reflects your personality without you second-guessing every choice.

Think of me as your renovation anchor:

  • I’ll filter through all those ideas and hone in on what truly fits your space.

  • I’ll create a cohesive vision so every room belongs to the same story.

  • I’ll spot the blind spots (the ones you don’t notice until it’s too late).

The result? Confidence. Clarity. And a home you’re genuinely excited to live in every day.

Stop dreaming. Start designing.

Here’s the tough love: pinning, saving, and scrolling will only ever take you so far. If you want to love the home you actually live in, you need more than inspiration — you need direction.

And that’s what I do.

✨ My consultations and full design service are designed to take the stress, overwhelm, and uncertainty out of renovating — so you can stop second-guessing and start enjoying the process.

If you’re ready to turn all those beautiful ideas into a real home you love, let’s talk. My diary is already filling for the New Year, so now is the perfect moment to get started.

Because you don’t just deserve a Pinterest board of dream homes — you deserve to live in one.
