Period Property Snug room, Almondsbury

Having worked on previous projects with my Clients on other rooms in this vast house I was well versed on their style, priorities and non-negotiables.
When I presented the design for their snug room in Almondsbury they absolutely loved it! One of the only small rooms in the house they we re keen to make it as intimate and cosy as possible.
Knowing this I created a warm, inviting and tactile colour scheme which would feel like the room was hugging them.
Working with skilled trades people to completely transform the space from 'forgotten' to 'main event' we had the original parquet flooring restored, we had the walls stripped back and made good and painted in lovely warm tones.
I wanted to ensure the window seat was the most beautiful feature so we draped it in subtly shimmering gold curtains which aren't only stunning but also wonderful at keeping the draughty snug a warm and cosy place to be. A bespoke seat cushion was made which further enhanced the window and really made it the destination of that room.
Now complete this space has the most wonderfully inviting atmosphere which puts you at ease and asks you to stay.
